چکیده
Introduction Fluorescence spectrophotometry in its pure form is inherently a very sensitive analytical method. Single molecules have been observed in fluorescence microscopy due to the very low signal in the absence of fluorescent analytes (often referred to as zero background) and the possibility of producing many photons from a single molecule using a very bright excitation source. There are two types of fluorometric methods used in the determination of inorganic species. Direct methods involve the formation of a fluorescent chelate and the measurement of its fluorescence. Indirect methods are based on the quenching of a fluorescent indicator by the species being determined. The latter technique has been most widely used for anion analysis. Note that the indirect method (used here) is not a zero background method as regards the analyte. The quenching, a decrease in fluorescence intensity, of a fluorescent indicator (usually an aromatic organic dye) can be described by the Stern Volmer equation:

The fluorescence Quenching Study of Quinine in Presence of Some Anions
The quenching of quinine fluorescence intensity in the presence of some anions in aqueous solution at ambient temperature has been investigated. The quenching is found to be collisional or dynamical in nature. This study reveals the order of two groups of quencher: NaI > NaBr > NaCl > NaF and K2Cr2O7 > KMnO4 >Na2SO4 > NaClO3. Increasing anion size in the both groups leads to an increase in the...
متن کاملMCR of the quenching of the EEM of fluorescence of Aflatoxins (B1, G1) by Gold nanoparticles
In This research, gold nanoparticles were synthesized and functionalized by the antibody of aflatoxins. The quenching of the fluorescence of excitation emission matrices (EEM) of two type of aflatoxins (B1, G1), provoked by the gold nanoparticles, was studied by principal component analysis (PCA) and multivariate curve resolution with alternating least squares (MCR-ALS). These aflatoxins show q...

A new polymerizable fluorescent sensor based on the photoinduced electron transfer PET for the selective determination of fluoride ions in DMF solutions has been synthesized. The sensing system was prepared by incorporating 4-Amino-1,8-naphthalimide derivatives containing thiourea side chain at the amino moiety AFTN as a neutral F- selective flourophore and was characterized by use of the DSC, ...
متن کاملIndirect detection of halide ions via fluorescence quenching of quinine sulfate in microcolumn ion chromatography.
Halide ions could be visualized via fluorescence quenching in microcolumn ion chromatography. The fluorescence of quinine sulfate, which was contained in an acidic eluent, was quenched by halide ions. The observed fluorescence quenching values increased in this order: iodide, bromide, and chloride. The present detection system was relatively sensitive to halide ions except for fluoride: other a...
